Help us accelerate our contract campaign!
We’re returning to the bargaining table for the first time in months this week, and we’re calling on management to quickly agree to a fair contract that includes industry-standard “just cause” job protections and guardrails against unchecked implementation of artificial intelligence.
Monday night, our colleagues, along with supporters from the unions at Business Insider, The New Yorker, The New York Times and Law360, gathered outside the Investigative Reporters and Editors 50th anniversary gala in Manhattan to distribute flyers focused on some of the core demands of our contract campaign.
The flyers asked supporters to sign our petition, which urges ProPublica President Robin Sparkman and Editor in Chief Stephen Engelberg to agree to a fair contract now.
In addition to flyering outside the event, our colleagues and supporters across the industry who were attending the event wore ProPublica Guild pins. The gala, at which several of our own members were honored, was a success and exceeded its fundraising goal, while we felt strong solidarity from other unionized journalists in attendance.
Please take a moment to sign our petition, and then take another moment to ask colleagues and friends to also do so! You can also show some love by sharing our Bluesky, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn posts.
